Collaboration is at the heart of our work at Shoreline Community Services. In our latest blog post, SCS Intern Victoria Aguilar highlights the crucial role that PATH San Diego, Family Health Centers, and We See You San Diego play in connecting our unhoused neighbors with housing, healthcare, and addiction recovery support. These community partnerships allow us to provide more than just immediate assistance—we help create sustainable pathways toward stability and self-sufficiency. Harnessing the Power of Community Relationships
关于我们
What Do We Do? We are creating an interdependent community aligned with a common goal — a thriving, safe and welcoming neighborhood for everyone! Our current focus is addressing the unmet needs of unsheltered individuals and families in the Central Beach Area of San Diego – making sure the most vulnerable are cared for with compassion and equity through the efforts of Community Members and Community Partners. How Do We Do It? Shoreline Community Services steps in to fill the gaps by offering connections to existing resources and services. To reduce the barriers that can prevent self-sufficiency, we align our most vulnerable neighbors with resources in the greater community.

We are proud to celebrate the success of Monty Burton, a graduate of Shoreline’s Community Care Crew program. Since joining in October 2024, Monty has demonstrated incredible perseverance, securing stable housing, completing automotive training with Vehicles for Change, and taking the next steps toward full-time employment in automotive repair. Graduation from the CCC program also comes with a valuable resource—crew members receive a laptop from Computers 4 Kids through the Lucky Duck Foundation, ensuring they have the technology needed for job searches, career development, and long-term success. Monty’s journey highlights the impact of community-driven workforce programs that create pathways to stability and independence. We are excited to see what’s next for him and grateful for the support that makes these opportunities possible. Please join us in celebrating Monty’s achievement! #WorkforceDevelopment #CommunityCareCrew #SuccessStory #ShorelineCommunityServices

A volunteer is shown here giving one of the blankets to a neighbor in need, and we couldn’t be more grateful for the impact Sackcloth & Ashes’ generosity is having. By donating a blanket for every one purchased, Sackcloth & Ashes is helping us make real progress in supporting those experiencing homelessness. We are proud to host our 3rd annual Black Tie Bingo fundraiser on April 25, 2025, at the Catamaran Resort—and this year, we’re raising funds for our Healthy Communities Initiative. Homelessness is not just about housing—it’s about healthcare, too. Many individuals experiencing homelessness struggle with chronic health issues, frequent ER visits, and lack of preventive care. At The Compass Station, we provide hot showers, laundry, haircuts, acupuncture, and on-site nursing to help improve health outcomes for our unsheltered neighbors. Funds raised from Black Tie Bingo will go directly toward expanding these critical health services and working toward long-term solutions. ?? Early bird tickets are on sale now until March 8th! Secure yours today and be part of the change. ?? https://lnkd.in/gckgVHRc #BlackTieBingo #HealthyCommunities #Fundraiser #SupportShoreline #SanDiegoNonprofits #EndHomelessness

We are incredibly grateful to The Country Friends for their generous contribution to our Wellness Program at The Compass Station. Because of their support, we can continue providing showers, haircuts, massage, and acupuncture services for our unhoused neighbors. These services are essential for restoring dignity, improving well-being, and fostering self-sufficiency. Our Executive Director, Caryn Blanton, had the honor of attending The 2025 Chosen Charities Announcement, where we were recognized as a 2025 grant recipient. Their investment in our mission is truly making a lasting impact on the lives of those we serve. Thank you, Country Friends, for believing in the power of community care!
