Earlier this month, The Shops at South Town proudly hosted our 3rd Annual Back to School Bash in partnership with iHeartRadio and 94.1 KODJ. This year, we teamed up with top retailers like lululemon, JCPenney, and Hollister Co. to showcase the season’s trendiest styles in our Back to School Fashion Show. The event not only highlighted the best in back-to-school fashion but also drove significant traffic to our center, supporting our retailers and boosting sales. We saw an incredible turnout for our Locker Giveaway, with nearly 200 students entering for a chance to win up to $500 in gift cards for a back-to-school shopping spree. The Shops at South Town remains a thriving hub for families and students. We’re passionate about bringing the community together through innovative programming and experiential marketing, and events like this underscore the impact of what we do best. Today The Shops at South Town celebrated their next chapter with a ground breaking ceremony with the center’s new owners Smith Entertainment Group (SEG). A direct result of PRCP’s expertise in unencumbering the land and maximizing entitlement rights, SEG will be able to begin construction work immediately, less than 2 weeks post sale. A huge congratulations to SEG on this exciting start. When I first started at JDRF, I knew no one that lived with type 1 diabetes in my own life. In fact, I worked for the organization for over 18 months before it finally affected someone in my family - my brother-in-law was diagnosed (as an adult! Did you know you can be diagnosed with T1D at ANY age?). That makes what I do every day even more important. I am counting down the days until our 2024 JDRF One Walk Utah, Presented by Clyde Companies, Inc. It is the biggest and best celebration of our T1D community in the state, and the event that gave me my start at JDRF!
