February 2025 Artist of The Season This winter’s Artist of the Season, JEFF WALLACE, repurposes books and found materials to create sensitive color studies and meditative collages. His tactile, process-driven practice excavates history, favoring materials with timeworn details — faded spines, foxed pages, and personal inscriptions. Splitting his time between New York and southern Italy, his work captures the vibrant energy of the city and the rich textures of Italian life, inviting viewers to reflect on the stories objects carry. "Looking Forward" I’ve been partial to this valediction as a way to end a note or letter for as long as I can remember. It connotes optimism, a mindset I am inherently prone to, and tips a hat to the future with an openness towards what’s to come — a stance that isn’t always easy, but is very often rewarded.? ? As we head into a new year, it’s admittedly hard to predict many things. Whatever your take on the world may be, our shared community shines as a source of true connection and inspiration. And our brand new home in the historic Starrett-Lehigh Building on the west side of Manhattan brings us all together once again, with the promise of new beginnings in 2025 and beyond.
