What a ride! We’re excited to announce the successful completion of our collaboration with Northwestern University Medill School! This summer, graduate students Joyce Chen, Benjamin Stack, Mohammad Nael Nadeem, and Zhuo Huang joined us at Shopkick, bringing fresh perspectives! Their 8-week project was a key part of our 3-year planning! A big thank you to rockstars June Yanjun Jiang and Sarah Jankowski, for spearheading this project! I'm excited to share that we just wrapped up an incredible collaboration with Northwestern University Medill School this summer! We had four amazing graduate students Joyce Chen, Benjamin Stack, Mohammad Nael Nadeem, and Zhuo Huang from the Integrated Marketing Communications program join us at Shopkick by Trax, and I have to say, this project was special to me. Just two years ago, I was in their shoes, working on my own immersion project at Anheuser-Busch. Now, to be on the other side, helping to shape their experience as a client, feels like coming full circle. During my time at Northwestern, I received so much support, and it feels great to give back in this way. I was able to design an experience that I knew would be valuable for their growth, especially since most of the students are international. I understand how important it is to get real-world experience in a new country—it can be a game-changer for their career. In this 8-week project, these students poured their hearts into improving user engagement at Shopkick. Their dedication, curiosity, and fresh perspectives truly amazed me. We had attendees from across the Executive team, Sales, Analytics, Product & Engineering, Operations, and Marketing teams, all eager to hear the innovative ideas these students brought to the table. The timing was perfect, as we’re in the midst of building the 3-year plan for Shopkick, and their presentation was a fantastic way to build consensus across our cross-functional teams. A huge thank you to everyone who made this collaboration a success! Special thanks to Neil Golden for connecting us with this opportunity, and to Sarah Jankowski for securing the support and resources for this project. And a heartfelt thanks to every Trax Retail teammate who provided resources, joined the discussions, and shared their insights. Your contributions were instrumental in making this project a success.
