The latest in a flurry of international venture capital investments, our corporate team has successfully advised Alicorn Venture Partners on their acquisition of Glassbox, delisting the AI-fuelled customer intelligence solutions provider from the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange. ?? This significant transaction included participation from Susquehanna Growth Equity (SGE) and equity partner Discount Capital. The Shoosmiths deal team led by corporate partner Alastair Peet, with support from legal director Georgina Rennie, principal associate Charlotte Cannell, and associate Sharon Nicholls. This transaction underscores Shoosmiths' commitment to being at the forefront of international investment within the venture capital market. Our corporate team has advised international investment firm DTCP on leading a $80m Series B investment into UK-based robotics and data intelligence company start-up Dexory. This round also included Latitude Ventures, WaVe-X, Bootstrap Europe and existing investors. The funding, a mix of equity and debt, brings Dexory’s total to $120m, will be used to focus on US market expansion and enhancing UK facilities. We’ve been assisting Hallam Land in advancing its landmark development project at Pickford Gate, Coventry. Our real estate experts have advised the land promotion and planning business on achieving its project goals, from acting on the original promotion agreement with landowners, to joint ventures and advising on infrastructure and funding agreements at the site. The team recently helped conclude the further sale of 52 acres of land for industrial and logistics development. The project was led by Thomas Hall, partner and head of strategic land, with specialist support from Steven Richardson, Stacy Dawes, and Holly Gerard. Our team of legal experts recently advised Housing Growth Partnership (HGP) on establishing a joint venture with PLATFORM_. We acted for HGP across multiple disciplines, helping the Lloyds-backed equity investor navigate the real estate, corporate, banking, planning, construction and tax aspects of the deal. The partnership will deliver a 451-apartment BTR scheme in Leeds, with a Gross Development Value of ￡150m. This marks the second joint venture we have supported HGP on this year, helping them to advance their strategy in the living sector.
