Our Culture and Core Values
At Shook, we hold ourselves to the standards of our core values: being passionate, genuine, well-balanced, fun, courageous, opportunistic, responsible, and reliable. Our culture is reflective of these values as demonstrated through office luncheons, social events, our employee wellness program, an array of community service opportunities, employee training and development, robust co-op program, workforce development initiatives, and more.
Our Wellness and Training Programs
Shook's wellness program, Level Up, offers challenges throughout the year and encourages employees to find their balance. We value the well-being of our associates and know that becoming healthier allows us to feel more energized and motivated to accomplish work on the job and at home. Shook's employee training/development program, BuildU, offers a diverse range of content for continued learning ranging from diversity and inclusion to soft skills to more in-depth technical topics.
Our Mission
At Shook, we put our Mission at the forefront – To Dramatically Improve the Communities We Serve. We hold every project team accountable to perform a community service project in alignment with each job we build. Since 2019, we have completed two company Mission Trips to take our mission global. Additionally, we launched The Shook Foundation, which is funded and operated by Shook employees, to give back to local non-profit organizations close to the heart of our employees.
