Remote teams continue to break into the mainstream! Google (Alphabet) announced last week that it would be slashing its headcount, allegedly by 6%, removing a total of 12,000 positions. The kicker is that core teams will rehire for these positions in Mexico ????, India ???? and Brazil ????, key markets for the company where labor costs are lower than in the US ????.
