Millions of people across the country experience food insecurity and hunger every day, including a large number of Gen Zers, who are twice as likely to face hunger compared to Millennials, Gen X and Baby Boomers. Shipt is committed to helping reduce hunger nationwide, and one way we do this is by supporting organizations actively fighting this issue every day, like the Congressional Hunger Center and Food Systems Collaborative, hosts of last week’s Gen Z Food and Hunger Summit supporting Gen Z students in their fight to address hunger with learning and advocacy opportunities on Capitol Hill. At Shipt, it’s important that we bring others along in our fight to end hunger, starting with our entire team. Shipt team members Molly Snyder, Alyssa Doom, Whitney Bonham, Matthew Spring, and Toney Anaya joined students at the Summit and were excited to bring two of Shipt’s summer interns Ally Henson & Kayla Collins. Molly Snyder shared with students the innovative ways Shipt addresses hunger and how they can make an impact. Molly’s message was clear: by using our networks to collaborate, innovate, and advocate, we can all make a difference in the fight against hunger. Visit Shipt’s newsroom for a recap of Shipt’s engagement at the Summit and top takeaways from Communications and Public Affairs intern, Ally. https://lnkd.in/e3YFC8JF Photo Credit: Congressional Hunger Center
