    Last week a customer shared a success story during a QBR with how they used our Dynamic Limits feature to maximize optimization with contract incentives. It's a real world example of a dynamic algorithm acting in real time to optimize costs. Here is how they did it: → They set up carriers and contracts in the web Console, the centralized spot customers manage their network configurations. Changes are instant. They use a multi-carrier strategy of nationals and regionals to service customers Coast to Coast. → They denoted which carrier was the target carrier that needed to hit a certain threshold of volume in order to hit a discount tier. → Then they configured the other carriers with different options and preferences to weight them in this workflow. At that point, when a Carrier Selection call is made with this workflow request in place, Shipium's Dynamic Limits algorithm looks at historical shipping patterns for cost fluctuations to determine if a shipment should go to the target carrier or use one of the flexible options. The algorithm is keeping in mind the cost trade offs of getting to the target threshold versus using an alternative carrier to maximize cost savings. The result shared during the QBR was millions in parcel spend reduction versus the expected spend. These are the types of innovations the Shipium platform is bringing to modern operators who want to leverage data, models, flexibility, and automation.
