When we first developed a hiring "strategy" at Hoplite Logistics, it was pretty simple. Hire the best if the best fit. Nothing earth-shattering there, but the fit is so important. It defines your culture, your product, and ultimately your future. We hire people that have extreme motivation with relentless positivity. That's the formula, and we could not be happier with our decisions so far. I continue to get compliments about the team we've assembled, and it's become what I'm most proud of. Highly recommend taking a listen to Will's thoughts on this if you're overseeing staffing or training, particularly with Sales. Have you ever recognized you’re in a life-long memory as it’s happening? Pretty deep, I know, but it’s so easy to get lost in looking forward that you overlook something amazing happening in real-time. I’ve been to Vegas a lot. I worked out West for a bit and the atmosphere continued to bring me back even when I moved back to the Midwest. When you’re on The Strip, you’re around a bunch of people on vacation or celebrating something. Everyone is in a good mood (if you avoid the tables) and that is contagious. The week we just had at Manifest: The Future of Supply Chain & Logistics is one I’ll remember for a long time. Good people. Deep connections. Fantastic conversation. The vibes were impeccable. This is the best event in our industry and it’s not particularly close. Feeling very blessed (and slightly hungover) but what a great time. Thanks to everyone we connected with and all those who continue to prop Hoplite Logistics up. The amount of good people you can meet in a short period of time continues to amaze me. We’ll see you in 2026!
