We are so proud and humbled that our CEO and Co-Founder, Forest Frizzell, has been recognized as one of Hawai?i's Most Admired Leaders! Testament to this award is a sign that hangs above his desk that reads "E ?ōpū Ali?i." The proverb instructs one to "have the heart of the chief," where chiefly qualities like kindness, generosity, and composure make a great leader. Forest's leadership and embodiment of this proverb has not only built Shifted into the innovative and equity-focused company it is today, but has also elevated Hawai?i's tech and innovation ecosystem. Congratulations!
Last night, I was among 20 leaders the Pacific Business News recognized as Hawaii?s Most Admired Leaders. I am grateful to my partner and co-founder Olin Kealoha Lagon, for nominating me, Michael Town (retired judge), and Donavan Kealoha for writing letters of support. The past 7 years launching Shifted Energy has been a blur, but it is also one of the hardest but most rewarding actions I?ve taken to prove we can build world-class climate technology and focus on equity in climate solutions, and we can do that from our beloved home in Hawaii. Mahalo to many who have had my back through this journey.
