Gabby’s tireless dedication to her patients has made an incredible difference, especially for a young patient in foster care who used to experience over 40 hospitalizations a year. With Gabby’s consistent support and collaboration with their social worker, the patient has had zero hospitalizations since November 2023. This week, we shared with our team that Stephen West, Shields Chief Executive Officer has decided to transition out of his day-to-day responsibilities at Shields and into an advisory role. Michael’s exceptional leadership, deep passion for our care model, and unwavering commitment to our team, culture, and partners is inspiring. Since joining Shields, he has built trusting relationships with health systems nationwide, helped accelerate the expansion of our care model, and introduced innovative ways to support our patients and partners.
