Executive Chef Charles Andres and Sheraton staff volunteers joined Boys & Girls Club Maui this past Friday, March 1, for their annual Little Chef Big Chef Gala! The event was fun-filled with culinary tastings, friendly competition, ono food, drinks, and live entertainment. Teams of "Little Chefs" were paired up with a "Big Chef" to compete against each other with their signature dish. Lahaina Clubhouse, under the direction of Chef Charles, won Little Chef Big Chef's 2025 People's Choice Award! Congratulations to all the little chefs for their hard work this year and mahalo to our big chefs for being role models to these aspiring culinary talents!

Over the past few weeks, we have been working hard with Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project to prepare the ‘ua‘u kani nesting colony for their return this spring. Last week, we removed invasive grasses that were providing hiding spots for predators. This week, we planted ‘aki‘aki and pau o hi‘iaka, two native plant species that will help stabilize the land and prevent erosion, providing safety for the seabirds. We look forward to continuing this critical work with Maui Nui Seabird Recovery Project!
