We’re seeing an increase in Medicare ID?fraud, where scammers?are calling and asking you to verify your Medicare ID number due to Medicare recently re-issuing millions of beneficiary IDs. These scammers?try to steal personal information by pretending to be Medicare representatives. The most recent fraudulent calls are scammers asking you to read back the alpha-numeric ID on your Medicare card.?Remember,?NEVER?share your Medicare ID number over the phone unless you initiated the call or it’s a scheduled conversation with your trusted, licensed agent.? ?? ??Only share your Medicare ID number in face-to-face conversations or pre-planned calls.? ??If someone asks for your number out of the blue, hang up immediately!? ?? A compromised Medicare ID number can be serious and could affect more than just your Medicare account.?If you suspect your ID number has been compromised, call?1-800-MEDICARE?to request a new card. It is with a heavy heart that we share the news of the passing of our beloved agent, Sam Tenbarge. ? Sam had a larger-than-life personality that truly touched everyone he met. He had a profound love for life, his family, and each of his clients. His commitment to our agency and to his client’s well-being was evident in everything he did. We feel incredibly fortunate to have known and worked alongside him, and he leaves behind very big shoes to fill. ?
