A new partnership between Old Harbor Native Corporation and Alaska Communications will bring high-speed internet to four Alaska Native communities on Kodiak Island. The project will install 155 miles of subsea fiber optic cable and serve 570 homes in Old Harbor, Chiniak, Akhiok, and Womens Bay. Funded by a federal Tribal Broadband Connectivity Program grant, the network will support education, healthcare, and economic growth in these remote communities.
