Such an amazing building, client and team! Thank you CROFT & Associates!
CROFT celebrated the ribbon cutting of the Humanities Building Renovation and Central Energy Plant at the University of West Georgia! This state of the art space will inspire creativity, collaboration and innovation. CROFT provided full design services for this complex renovation and infrastructure project at the 78,000 SF Humanities Building on the UWG campus quad. The project includes bringing the facility up to current accessibility and life safety codes and provides for much needed program requirements related to classroom station sizes, pedagogical support, and active learning.?The infrastructure portion of the project includes the construction of a new central energy plant to serve nearby buildings in the future, and upgrading all systems. This revitalized space blends modern design with cutting-edge technology, providing an inspiring environment for both students and faculty. Representing CROFT was Kip Stokes (COO), David Esterline (Business Unit Director, Higher Education), Anna Adams (Interior Designer) and Wei Lu (Project Architect). Student Rebecca Mann spoke about how this will impact the student nation in healthcare with her focus in counseling. Acknowledgement also goes to John McGruder and Mary Helen McGruder as pillars of the community and for their passion for the University’s growth. We love supporting such an incredible community event. Thank you for organizing P&W
To kickstart the new K-12 school year, our Atlanta studio teamed up with local partners for the fourth annual Perkins&Will Backpack Bash. This year, we supported students at Continental Colony Elementary, Fickett Elementary, and Kimberly Elementary in Southwest Atlanta. Our goal? To alleviate the stress of purchasing school supplies. Thanks to the generosity of 46 partners from the design, architecture, engineering, and construction industries, we raised over $50,000 in donations. This allowed us to give more than 1,100 students new backpacks and enough supplies to last the entire school year. ?? ?? Giving back to our communities is a cornerstone of our #SocialPurpose program. We’re thrilled to have collaborated with the faculty and families of Continental Colony, Fickett, Kimberly Elementary Schools, and Atlanta Public Schools. ? Our top donors include Brasfield & Gorrie, LLC, Breedlove Land Planning Inc, Andrews, Andrews, Hammock & Powell, Inc., Daltile, Carroll Daniel Construction, Conway & Owen, EQUILIBRIUM, Facilitron, Hammond & Associates, JE Dunn Construction, Mazzetti, Mohawk Group, Newcomb & Boyd, LLP, NOVA Engineering and Environmental, LLC, Shear Structural, Structor Group, Swinerton, and Total Systems Commissioning, Inc.
