An early peek at the upcoming, second location for Francis Burger Joint! Getting their start as a food truck before opening their first location in NE Minneapolis, the Francis team is a small, entrepreneurial group that we're lucky to have growing the local food scene. Their second location is taking over the former Peppers & Fries space in South Minneapolis' Longfellow neighborhood, and we're proud to be partnering on the design. Last week, we had the pleasure to meet with some incredible groups of design students! Thank you to Iowa State University - College of Design for touring our office with Hannah and Kaia. And thank you to the University of Minnesota College of Design for having Katie in to speak to students about retail design - made extra fun by having our Design Intern Karina in the audience! We always enjoy the opportunity to share what we know - and learn from - upcoming future designers.

We are excited to see Christopher W. and his hard work on TAP IN garner local attention and support. While a small operation (at least for now!), their vision and passion are enormous and will create a lasting impact on the community. Shea, Inc. is proud to participate in this project and donate time and services to help it succeed.

Boketto steakhouse, newly opened in St. Louis, MN, offers a steakhouse experience like no other, blending elements of Japanese and Mediterranean cuisine with traditional steakhouse dining. In the restrooms, Astek's custom gold and blue ginkgo leaf wallcovering sparkles to life thanks to the shiny textured substrate it's printed on. Interior by Shea, Inc.

Norah joins us as a recent graduate from Iowa State, where in addition to her studio design class, her favorite classes included art history and drawing. Her hobbies include all kinds of painting from oil and acrylic to watercolor, as well as sketching and visiting art museums. Clearly, she has a strong passion for art and design, and we’re thrilled to have her joining it with ours at Shea. Welcome to the team, Norah!

Sioux Falls has a new mix of restaurants headed its way! We've partnered with Josh Thoma on the designs of his three upcoming restaurants in the new Steel District development: Big Sioux Burger, Dahlia Kitchen + Bar and Ironwood, all opening this Fall. Then in early 2025, Jack Rose Social Club will join the District - our first partnership with the team and the second location for the concept. ? It's been exciting to work on so many projects in Sioux Falls recently, both completed and upcoming; it's such a great city that we've enjoyed watching grow.
