(cold formed steel) and Endurable Building Products (aluminum). Also joining this new group will be the labor operations of Shawnlee Construction, LLC, Shepardville Construction, Atlantic Framing, Patriot Building Systems, and Exterior Designs Inc. | A UFP Site Built Company. Kevin Klein, who has successfully overseen these product lines since 2020, leads this new group. Sean Simmer, the VP of Business Development, is joining him. He is focused on expanding our sales efforts across all entities and ensuring UFP uses all resources efficiently to grow its cold formed steel, aluminum, and labor businesses. This move reinforces our commitment to growth in the non-wood construction market. We’re excited to share our role in the development of a 187,000 sq. ft. wood-framed senior living facility (part of a 351,000 sq. ft. project) in Newton, MA, for 2Life Communities. This turnkey project was a collaborative effort supplying both labor and materials, and delivering high-quality results for this unique build. Restoring this 1887 Mill into 82 apartments brings up many challenges, which is why we are so grateful to be working with The Architectural Team and our great subcontractors to resolve unforeseen situations. We have progressed with many of the 4th & 3rd floor window installations. Drywall is going up on all 4 floors, MEP milestones are being met, and our mockup unit is ready for painting. Projects like these are never typical and they require subcontractors with a specific level of detail and coordination to get the job done. We look forward to our continued work together!
