This offseason, our team executed phase one of the premium upgrades at Dignity Health Sports Park for the LA Galaxy and AEG. Designed by Gensler, the #ShawmutBuilt renovation enhanced the fan experience and elevated the existing premium seats and spaces.

Last week, senior director Christopher Hennessy, CS, FWS moderated a panel at the Bisnow Southern California Repositioning, Adaptive Reuse & Conversions Summit. One of the key takeaways centered around getting the right team in place—early—for office-to-residential conversions. This includes an architect with?relevant experience to navigate jurisdictional code requirements and a general contractor engaged in exploratory work during preconstruction to mitigate future challenges. ? Last week, we joined the North Providence community alongside Mayor Charles Lombardi, students, teachers, and community members to celebrate the topping off of the new Greystone Elementary School—one of two new #ShawmutBuilt K-12 schools in the town. The 76,000-square-foot, two-level facility will provide an innovative learning environment for preschool through 5th grade students, featuring a gymnasium, cafeteria, and STEAM room. Built adjacent to the existing school, the site will be transformed into open fields and playgrounds upon completion. We look forward to continuing working with LeftField, The S/L/A/M Collaborative (SLAM), StudioJAED, and our talented trade partners to bring this new school to the community.

Four years ago, we launched the Shawmut Scholars Program with Roger Williams University—a transformative initiative providing students with real-world experience, industry mentorship, and full-tuition scholarships to propel their careers in construction management. Now, we’re #ShawmutProud to celebrate a major milestone: the inaugural class of Shawmut Scholars is graduating. Over the past four years, these scholars have gained hands-on experience through internships, site visits, and direct mentorship from industry leaders—bridging the gap between classroom learning and real-world application. We’re proud to welcome two of them as full-time Shawmut employee-owners upon graduation. Building on this success, we’re expanding the Shawmut Scholars Program—with four new full-tuition scholarships available for students beginning in Fall 2025.
