I studied forestry with a hydrology focus and later received a Certificate of Leadership and Management.?I also received my FAA Part 61 pilots’?? licence in Denver in 2001. I have been involved in water research, solar energy and the drone and geospatial space landing at Sharper Shape in 2022. ?? What are your core roles and responsibilities at Sharper Shape? Working alongside our technical teams and customers that include utilities??, arborists?? and drone operators ?? to find solutions within data acquisition, processing and the CORE platform. What do you enjoy the most about working in the power/utilities sector? Everyone is very professional, focused and driven.?Our customers are savvy and understand the industry, stay on top of the industry publications, and have practical real-world experience, so they are receptive to solving complex problems and open to ideas.?Working in critical infrastructure is something everyone benefits from so that is satisfying. What excites you most about the new Asset Insights module? AICI, Asset Insights / Component Inventory solves a problem(s) at scale and is constantly improving. It’s all based on humans helping to train best in class tools to recognize assets and their conditions ??.?Enabling users to really push information out of big data in ways that frankly have not been possible at scale in the past is satisfying to see.
