Creating the next generation of shark advocates through education, outreach and adventure.
关于我们
The goal of Sharks4Kids is to create a new generation of shark advocates through access to a dynamic range of educational materials. Curriculum, videos and activities will allow teachers to integrate shark education into their science programs on an introductory, intermediate or advanced level. Students can access coloring pages, activities and info sheets to satisfy their own curiosity about sharks. Photos and videos from scientists and conservationists bring an exciting element into the classroom and show students the beauty of the ocean. Sharks4Kids also funds first field trips and science education days for students in South Florida and The Bahamas. Our team also provides a diverse range of shark lessons to classroom and groups around the world ( in person and virtually). We bring together scientists, educators, conservationists and professional videographers to create a unique opportunity for the next generation to learn why sharks need kids and kids need sharks. Creating the next generation of shark advocates through education, outreach and adventure.

We had a FIN tastic field trip with grade 10 & 12 students from Louise McDonald High School. Students learned about lemon sharks and mangroves. They also discussed the importance of protecting this ecosystem for humans and animals. Connecting students to the ocean and these incredible places is critical for ocean conservation and the future. Special thanks to Bimini Scuba Center and McPZ Foundation for making these programs possible. Thanks to the crew @grolle242 @andreking2344 and @dilly.mon for the photos

Tiger Shark Tuesday As apex predators, tiger sharks help maintain the balance of marine ecosystems. They regulate prey populations and even influence the behavior of other animals, like sea turtles, which avoid overgrazing seagrass beds in areas with tiger sharks. This is "Joker" cruising by at the Bimini hammerhead dive site. Diving with @biminiscubacenter

"Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.” - Nelson Mandela Why is shark education for kids important? Education is critical for conservation, and it's why Sharks4Kids was created. Kids want to make a difference; they want to help. We need to empower them to use their voice. Educational resources and opportunities help them find their voice and make an impact. Thanks to everyone who supports our mission. We are creating the next generation of shark advocates! https://lnkd.in/e_BReFFu
