On September 30th at 10 a.m., we're hosting a Reading Rally with more than 300 students at the Chick-fil-A College Football Hall of Fame in partnership with the Georgia Council on Literacy and Georgia Reads Coach Malcolm Mitchell from the Share the Magic Foundation. This event is meant to raise awareness about the need to improve Georgia’s childhood and adult literacy rates. Introducing Malcolm’s new children’s book, “A Magnificent Field Trip to the Governor’s Mansion!” The book was written in partnership with Governor Kemp and First Lady Marty Kemp and Georgia Department of Early Care and Learning. 90,000 Georgia Pre-K students received copies of the book, a story about a field trip with Mr. Malcolm’s class to the Governor’s Mansion in Georgia. This morning, two Fulton County Schools Pre-K classes participated in a special tour of the Governor’s Mansion with Malcolm, DECAL (Amy Jacobs) and First Lady Marty Kemp.
