??? Big Step for E-Bike Ownership in New York! ??? Today, we're proud to announce the launch of the Project MOVER Pilot E-Bike Incentive Program! Income-qualified residents of Ossining, NY can now apply for a chance to receive a $1,000 discount off the purchase of an e-bike at Croton E-bikes. Backed by NYSERDA’s Clean Transportation Prize program, this pilot is designed to expand access to e-bikes in Westchester County, with the goal of scaling to more Rivertowns in the summer. Visit the link below to learn more and apply. NYSERDA President and CEO Doreen M. Harris said, “NYSERDA is proud to support clean mobility in the Village of Ossining and looks forward to working with all partners to enhance affordable, zero-emission transportation options locally. This pilot will demonstrate how providing point-of-sale vouchers can help make the cost of owning an e-bike more affordable while expanding accessibility for residents to meet their daily living and commuting needs.” This pilot is among the first e-bike incentive programs in New York State, making e-bikes more accessible and affordable for those who need them most. And stay tuned—we’ll have another big announcement about e-bike incentives later this week in Western New York! ?? Big thanks to our partners: NELSON/NYGAARD CONSLTNG ASSOC, EIT InnoEnergy, Cityfi, Village of Ossining, Hudson Link for Higher Education in Prison, and Neighbors Link for making this possible! https://lnkd.in/g9kX9aTa #ProjectMOVER #EBikeIncentive #CleanTransportation #SustainableMobility #OssiningNY #Micromobility

Over the past five years, our organization has been partnering with NYSERDA to develop emerging professionals across NYS who want to get involved in the space of clean energy and transportation. One pivotal program has been the Climate Justice Fellowship, which our own Marli Parish completed in 2023. Today, she is our E-Bike Program Coordinator, implementing our WNY E-Bike Library project, supported by Independent Health and other community partners, and spearheading Reddy Bikeshare's expansion on Buffalo's East Side through Clean Mobility Buffalo. The results from our 2024 WNY E-bike Library User Survey are in! The results highlight that the WNY E-bike Library creates access to e-bikes for people who do not otherwise own one, providing more transportation options that are widely enjoyable. This success was made possible by our partners Independent Health, The Tool Library, and Create a Healthier Niagara Falls Collaborative #WNYEbikeLibrary #EbikeLibraries #Equity #Access #Health

With help from NYSERDA, our non-profit organization is developing professionals inspired to work in mobility and clean energy. This past summer, Viyona Chavan joined our Team to work on multiple micro-mobility projects across New York State. Chavan, who graduated from University at Buffalo School of Architecture and Planning 2024 with a Master's in Urban Planning and graduated from Sir J.J College Of Architecture, Mumbai in 2020 with a Bachelor's in Architecture, said this about the internship program... "The opportunity with the NYSERDA internship has been instrumental in deepening my understanding of how community-driven interventions can drive sustainable change. Through active engagement in equitable programs, contributing to grant proposals, and researching sustainable transportation methods and clean energy solutions aimed at achieving a zero-emission carbon footprint, I have developed a well-rounded skill set that has not only enhanced my professional capabilities but also solidified my commitment to advancing community-centred initiatives that promote inclusive growth and environmental resilience."
