Have you seen the news?! ?? Beyond excited for our friends over at AudiencePlus (The Juice (now AudiencePlus))! This is not an episode of The Content Cocktail Hour to miss ?? (And clock that sweet ?? rebrand!)
The conversation between Anthony Kennada and I started exactly 359 days ago in a coffee shop. JJ Watt was also there. We shared founder notes and discussed what we saw in the MarTech space. We realized that we shared a vision but were solving it in complementary ways. And so that's how it began. There was an obvious product partnership opportunity. Eventually, we ended up sharing an investor and customers. The conversation evolved in the fall. And yesterday, we announced the joining of forces. In a fresh episode (and brand!) of The Content Cocktail Hour, Anthony and I have a raw conversation about: ?? The history of our businesses ?? The shared vision we had ?? How the opportunity to join forces emerged ? And where we both see the business and industry going Oh, and yes, we share what JJ Watt was doing there. This was an energizing conversation for myself, the team, and what we're building toward. The industry is changing, the technology must change with it/ You know where to find it ? ??

Most B2B podcasts fail for one reason: They don’t serve a business outcome. To make your podcast a revenue driver (not just another content project), start with these three questions: ? Who is it for? ? Where does it fit? ? What’s the goal? The best podcasts aren’t just for listening. They’re for relationship-building.

Is your podcast aligned with your business goals? Here are 3 questions to ask before launching or optimizing your show to make sure you’re doing just that: Who is it for? (Executives? End-users? Decision-makers?) Where does it fit? (Top-of-funnel brand awareness? Mid-funnel sales enablement?) What’s the goal? (Building trust? Generating demand? Supporting customer retention?) A great (not just good) podcast is not just content—it can be a revenue driver.

B2B marketing has gotten tougher. No question. But I'm consistently hearing B2B founders and CEOs say they are crushing it here on LinkedIN. They have one BIG gripe though! All the TIME it takes to create good content and actively participate in the community. Sure it builds trust and drives leads, but a founder's time is a very scarce resource. Thankfully, for the last few years I've had Rachel Elsts Downey?and her team at Share Your Genius, in my corner. They can create 3 months of high-quality content with just 90 minutes of a CEO's time. Yup. >12 professionally produced video clips >24 strategic social posts >& 3 thought leadership articles If you’re a CEO, founder, or executive who knows you need to be sharing your insights but don’t have the time—this is your answer. DM me, and I’ll introduce you to Share Your Genius.

My entire business has been built through PARTNERSHIPS. A couple of fun facts about partnerships: ?? Before business, "partner" was most commonly used for?dance partners?in the 16th century—moving in sync with another person. The concept later expanded into business and relationships. ?? On the American frontier, partnerships weren’t just strategic; they were about?survival—pioneers, outlaws, and business owners needed partners to run saloons, drive cattle, and defend against bandits. In a world where you can Google or ChatGPT your way through almost anything (I once knew someone who watched YouTube videos to reset his own dislocated shoulder—yikes),?that doesn’t mean we’re meant to do it all ourselves. I love doing my podcast. Actually, let me rephrase that:?I love hitting record.?I love riffing with a guest or sharing a story, knowing it might help someone. But everything else that makes a podcast great??That’s where my PARTNERS at Share Your Genius come in. Without them, I would have suffocated under the weight of producing, editing, and managing nearly?300 episodes.Instead, I get to focus on what I love—and my podcast keeps growing. Which brings me to?Rachel Elsts Downey? she’s a great dance partner, you know, in the business sense. Rachel is launching a?PODCAST COHORT starting Feb. 18th—perfect if you’re thinking about starting a podcast or want to take yours to the next level. If that’s you,?I guarantee you’ll walk away with something valuable from a conversation with Rachel. Are you podcasting or thinking about it? Let’s talk in the comments. ??
