What a great week for Shameless Pets! Our new products and branding are rolling out at Whole Foods Market nationwide as I type. These moments make all the hard work and thinking and re-thinking of things worth every minute. When the package hits the shelves (anyone else hearing "When the moon hits your eye..."?) there are few feelings like it in CPG. Exciting news!?We are thrilled to enter our next phase of growth with?Jean Lizotte?leading the way as our new Chief Growth Officer!?With?Jean''s extensive background in the pet space, brand strategy & innovation, plus her proven track record of leading brands through various stages of growth, we couldn't be luckier to have her on the team! Funny story -?Jean?and James Bello actually met in the very early days of Shameless Pets, well?Jean?tried anyway!?She reached out to our?general email box to compliment all that Shameless was doing and how excited she was to see an upcycled pet treat brand hit the shelves.?Well, in all the busy-ness of a year 1 start up, she got no response - twice! A fact we are not all proud of but yup, that happened. As fate would have it, several months later she was on a round table call with a mutual friend who asked if she knew the?brand because talk of all things pet came up on the call.?He followed through with a simple email intro and with that?Jean?and James connected and she finally?got to pay the?compliments to him live.??Jean?shared some early advice and learnings about the category and was always a sounding board or quick resource when needed by the Shameless team over the years. Now in early 2024, the stars have aligned and?Jean?is on the team.?Her new puppy, Tillie, is over the moon that tasty healthy treats are plentiful in the Lizotte house!?Welcome, Jean!?
