Opening a Donor Advised Fund (DAF) at the Shalom Austin Jewish Foundation can help you unlock the true power of your giving! Think of a DAF as a charitable savings account earning tax-free interest, making your giving simpler and more tax-efficient, and all this through your Jewish community. Start your charitable journey with a contribution of cash, stock, or other assets and join our family of fund holders who give from Jewish values to over 800 non-profits nationwide. You can give to any non-profit organization that reflects your values and charitable interests. With a Donor Advised Fund, you have personal access to the Foundation’s Philanthropic Advisor for questions and concerns about the needs of the Jewish community and greater Austin and the organizations that serve them. Let's make a difference together; find out more at https://lnkd.in/gwYcryke today!

In this traumatic, unspeakable moment for the Jewish people, communities around the world, including Austin, have made an enormous difference. Every single person who has donated has made a truly significant difference in so many lives. In this JFNA Israel Emergency Fund Impact Report you will see how the hundreds of organizations and thousands of volunteers have made a difference in the trajectory of Israel’s ongoing ability to respond to medical, mental health, communal, and economic needs as this crisis continues. Locally in Austin, we raised $2.8 million with the Dell match?for the JFNA Israel Emergency Campaign. We are in awe of the impact we are having together, and we thank you. https://lnkd.in/gKCBqA8q

Shalom Austin CEO Rabbi Daniel A. Septimus was recently interviewed by CBS Austin for this story, along with Dori Roberts who lives in Austin whose family members were recently released as hostages from Hamas. Septimus said he hopes the international community stands up for Israel and the remaining hostages. "We need to all be working towards that goal together," Septimus said. "And hopefully, the world will understand that and be a part of that as well." https://lnkd.in/g-RJ7kf9
