Shaking the Tree is thrilled to announce the McCarthy Educational Access Grant from the Stephen & Kathleen McCarthy Family Fund which will provide the use of our Living Case Study (film) library to university and other non-commercial educational programs for free in 2025. The grant will cover the rental fees for the video and extended access for two instructors. "In the current environment, many educational programs serving wealthy families and their advisors struggle to access high-quality material and information that accurately portray the challenges such entities?face in dealing with critical issues in the arenas of?family?dynamics, succession/transition, next generation education, among others.?In many instances, these?limited efforts often operate with?small, inadequate budgets, thus hindering their ability to provide students with the most relevant and impactful learning experiences. As former chair/current board member and long-time supporter, my family and I believe that Shaking the Tree’s?unique ‘Living Case Study’ approach offers a compelling?solution to this often-vexing problem. These?well-crafted films are renowned for their depth and authenticity, capturing the intricate dynamics and emotional complexities within wealthy families. To address this critical need, my wife, Kathleen, and I have made a grant to make the library of Living Case Studies available for free to educational programs in non-commercial organizations through the end of 2025.” – Stephen J.
