It was a beautiful day at the annual TAHFM Central Texas Whack ‘Em & Stack ‘Em Sporting Clays Tournament in Austin! Last Friday, Inti Gonzalez from Gonzalez Shah Smith, Inc. hit the course with our wonderful guests from Barnes Gromatzky Kosarek Architects, Chris Powitzky and Michael Maddox and Brock Rindahl from Dell Medical School at The University of Texas at Austin. SSA's 4th Annual Chili Cookoff was a huge success yesterday! ? Our winners from the Houston office are Trevor Colwell, who brought the heat and claimed 1st place with his tasty recipe, Rehman Deen with an equally delicious recipe that won 2nd place, and our President, Jeff Bolander took home 3rd! ? Our Austin crew competed too! Ben O'Nan smoked the competition to claim 1st place, followed closely by James Ligon in 2nd, and Robbie Noble rounding it out in 3rd. Amazing job, Austin crew!? ? Our Dallas office had a fun gathering and once again Matt Forester was the big winner with his yummy chili! Thanks to everyone who competed, and shared the love (and spice)! Here’s to next year’s showdown – the competition just keeps getting hotter!

Today kicks-off the Texas College & University Facilities (TCUF) Conference and we are thrilled to announce that our company President, Inti Gonzalez, P.E. and Senior Project Manager Jerry Garcia will be presenting alongside System Mechanical Engineer, Robert Hartman with Texas A&M University System – Facilities Planning & Construction. ? They'll share insights from their work on the Texas A&M University Innovative Learning Classroom Building (ILCB), which houses classrooms for 100-600 occupants and how they met ASHRAE 62.1 ventilation requirements. ?
