?? SOLANA DePIN FOR CLOUD GAMING: 2024 HAS BEEN Shaga's YEAR SO FAR!! ?? ?? It all started with winning the 1st Place in the DePIN Track at the Solana Foundation Hyperdrive Hackathon. 1 Month of hell, working from 8:00 AM to 2:00 AM, with nothing but an obsessive vision: DePIN Xbox Cloud. The N'1 problem for any gamer who tried Cloud Gaming is always LATENCY. If you never experienced it, you'll never understand how ANNOYING that is, it causes you to rage quit the game because you're losing and it's not your fault!! As any Engineer would point out, the only way to reduce latency is through PROXIMITY! Cloud Gaming from Data Centers is simply a broken model, the speed of light is the ultimate bottleneck in this universe to which we all must obey to. ENTER DePIN: It's clear to everyone who's tried wrapping their minds to it that Decentralized Physical Infrastructure Networks are the future of the internet. Sometimes Decentralization is a meme that doesn't make sense, sometimes Decentralization is a NECESSITY! For Shaga, (Physical) Decentralization is a necessity. Because... THE ONLY WAY TO FIX LATENCY IS THROUGH PROXIMITY! Enough with the introductions, the context I shared above was the reason why High-Caliber Founders like Anatoly Yakovenko (Co-Founder Solana), Stephen Akridge (Co-Founder Solana) & Amir Haleem (Founder Helium) invested in Shaga in Q1 24. We didn't let them down, in March we got awarded another Global Hackathon 1st Place win at the Metaplex c-Hack, with a solution for Self-Custodial Web3 GameStreaming & NFT-DRMs for Unreal Engine 5. After that, we joined the Solana Labs Incubator where we got the most valuable mentorship possible, spending 3 amazing months of non-stop building in New York, where we ultimately got our custom built p2p Streaming Protocol to production. We had a secret however... From February we started working on a SECRET WEAPON! THE SHAGA ODYSSEY! We promptly filed provisional patents for such thing and slowly during the year we were validated by multiple companies. SUI launching their hand-held with Playtron (why do you need a screen when everyone has a phone?) and most recently SONY launching Soneium, an Ethereum L2 specialized for gaming. Sony's move is more than eloquent, the gaming industry giants are FLOCKING to Web3! Why letting these L1s and L2s eat their pie when they can launch networks and leverage their established market leading position? Very smart move from Sony. However... they won't be able to defeat latency as a monolithic company... The future of gaming is Edge GameStreaming and I'm excited to say Shaga is leading the way for the industry. The Shaga team is filled with legendary people, from Metaplex to EpicGames, from Xbox to Alienware. A lethal combo of distributed systems engineers and gaming industry veterans!
