#AI is a powerful tool to sift through massive data troves quickly, but analysts and investigators alike need to exercise caution when determining the results. In law enforcement cases where collection of publicly available information (#PAI) must be reconstructed in the court of law, AI and #OSINT tools using AI have shown to be ineffective because proprietary LLMs cannot be disclosed, or the results given by AI/LLMs cannot be reconstructed with a valid chain of custody for the data.
