Meet Clayton Hiss, Our New Sales Rep! We’re excited to introduce Clayton Hiss, the newest member of our team! Clayton brings his passion for craft beverages and a knack for building connections to his role as our sales representative. Not only will Clayton be representing Shades Brewing, but he’s also proudly repping Mamachari Kombucha and Eight Settlers Distillery. It’s the perfect mix of great beer, refreshing kombucha, and exceptional spirits—all in one portfolio! When he’s not hard at work, Clayton loves spending time with his family, playing golf, traveling, and cheering on the Utes. As we reflect on the year and embrace new beginnings, we've been taking a journey down memory lane. One of the best memories is the photoshoot Alex had with Sylvia Galvan Hollands. Shortly after moving into our facility, Alex organized a photoshoot with Sylvia Galvan Hollands. Alex was taking a photography class and Sylvia was to be her first "victim" and the first in a "beer goddess" series. There was a mix-up in communication, and Sylvia arrived in street clothes without an outfit. Luckily Alex had grabbed an evening gown on her way out the door and by coincidence, it fit Sylvia perfectly! They got creative for a second outfit and used grain bags!! Cheers to good times and making our journey memorable.

Beer Highlight: Orange Creamsicle. Crazy that there is a beer style with the word "cream" that does not actually have any cream in the beer! The cream in "Cream Ale" refers to the smooth mouth feel that is found in cream ales. The creaminess is achieved thorough the malt and yeast selection and carbonation levels. We've made our cream ale with oranges because..... we love oranges! Hope you do too. 5% abv. available at the brewery in individual cans and on tap and in our seasonal variety pack.

Whether you're a freelancer, digital nomad, or work-from-home pro, this event is for you! Grab a beer, seltzer, or N/A drink and meet other remote (non-office) workers based in SLC from various industries. Connect with like-minded individuals about the pros and cons of remote work, share tips and tricks , and maybe even find your next collaboration partner. And since you don’t really work in teams in-person, let’s team up and show off your competitive side. There will be 2 sessions (4-6p & 6-8p) to accomodate those with limited availability, but can still be a part of this impactful event. You are also welcomed to stay for both sessions, which means more connections made!
