This is the last batch of beer that we will be making at 154 W Utopia Ave before moving our main production facility up to The Historic Roundhouse in Evanston, WY. We are very close to opening our new brew pub at The Engine Block in SLC, but it will take a lot more work to move all of our brewing, fermenting, and packaging equipment across state lines. Wish us luck, and stay tuned for more news about our new location in Wyoming!

关于我们
Beer for creatives, dreamers, and adventure seekers. Shades brews flavorful, award-winning craft beers in the heart of Salt Lake City. Not the conventional setting to establish a brewery, but we don’t do conventional. Our brews are unorthodox in both ingredients and experience. Our flavors are revolutionary, not the next tap down.

Here's a sneak peak of what we have fermenting right now for our new Blonde Bombshell mixed pack. This 8 pack of 16 ounce cans will include 2 Hellion Blondes, 2 Strawberry Blondes, 2 Dirty Blondes, and 2 Bleach Blondes! Each of these ales have a slightly different twist on a classic American Blonde, but what they all have in common is solid flavor and easy drinkability!

Meet Ross, Michael and Finn the dog. They are local artisans making the tables for our new location at 1388 S 300 W. A customer saw our post asking for help with creating tables that matched the vision we had for our new location and he forwarded it to his friend, Ross. Ross went to school and learned construction project management, but has found he loves doing custom wood work better and has a dream of starting his own business making furniture. Ross enlisted Michael’s help with the Shades project. Michael has made furniture for over 20 local restaurants including Brewvies in Salt Lake and Grappa and No Name Saloon in Park City. When we lost our lease, we had no idea where we’d go next. Finding a new home for a brewery isn’t easy—the tall tanks don’t fit just anywhere and much of the new warehouse space are owned by Investment trusts that have 100,000 square foot minimums. Sometimes, luck finds you and that's how we feel; incredibly fortunate. We found the most beautiful building and the nicest most welcoming people. It's been like a breath of fresh air. While we've been working on the SLC location, we've also been working on the Evanston Pub which has the ability to house our large equipment. It's been a project two years in the making. There is still quite a bit of work to be done before we can move in but we couldn’t be happier to bring Shades Brewing to the historic Evanston Roundhouse. This place has seen steam engines, hard work, and history in the making—and now, it’s about to pour some of the best beer in the West. More details to come.
