There is nothing more exciting or fulfilling than being part of something new and transformative. The energy transition, which is the foundation of all things, is gaining momentum, leading to the transformation of all things, but in ways that I don’t believe anyone who has been involved at the developer level ever expected. Instead of partnerships, the industry seems to be evolving by siloed interests. Instead of policy aligning with implementation, policy is being wielded as a weapon to protect entrenched interests and stall innovation and progress. Sound gloomy? Not at all. This is when and how we know that we are on the correct path to transformation. No one said that it was going to be easy or clean. When we consider the simplistic view of the global climate crisis; knowing that the ocean is the greatest carbon sink on earth, followed by land, then trees, the path forward comes into focus.
