A massive highlight at the #ICAA2024 Conference was Mark Kronner's presentation on "Artificial Intelligence: Revolutionizing Well-being and Operations." Additional space needed to be open to accommodate everyone who was interested! Kronner's insights centered around how AI is a transformative tool empowering staff and seniors in everything from streamlining daily tasks to enabling collaborative decision-making. The key? Thoughtful, personalized integration that respects individual autonomy while enhancing quality of life. The packed session and expanded space sent a clear message: The senior living industry is embracing technological innovation like never before. Thanks ICAA for organizing a great conference! #SeniorLiving #AIInnovation #Healthcare #TechnologyTransformation International Council on Active Aging

?????????????????? ???? ??????????????????????: ?????? ?????????????????? ??????????????????'?? ?????????????????????? The Mayflower project aimed to expand care options, upgrade facilities, maximize land use, and create spaces that would appeal to future generations. The success of this project can be attributed to three critical elements in the master plan: 1. Early planning 2. A thorough understanding of existing conditions 3. Maintaining flexibility and adaptability These components enabled the team to meet their development goals and successfully guide the community into a new era. ?????? ?????? ?????????????? ???????? ?????????????????????? ???? ?????? ??????????????’?? ?????????????? ??????????????: ? Staying on schedule: By proactively beginning the permitting process early and addressing existing foundation conditions, the team ensured there were no delays. ? Anticipating supply chain issues: Materials were ordered locally and well in advance, helping the project stay on track despite potential disruptions. The team's advanced planning proved invaluable when an unexpected hurricane struck, damaging facilities and requiring the relocation of 60 residents. Thanks to their preparedness and collective effort, the transition was smooth, and the project timeline remained unaffected. The Mayflower project demonstrates how strategic planning, and resilient teamwork can turn complex development challenges into successful community-building opportunities. #CommunityDevelopment #ProjectManagement #PlanningForSuccess #AEC #Construction

?????? ?????????????? ?????????????? ?????????????????????? The Trinity Landing project presented a unique opportunity on a 30-acre waterfront site that had previously been donated to the Lutheran Services of the Carolinas. While the property's proximity to the Intracoastal Waterway was a major asset, the densely wooded and narrow lot also posed significant design constraints for the development team. ???????????????? ?? "???????????? ???? ?????? ??????????" The local senior living market was dominated by rental communities, so the Trinity Landing team saw a chance to differentiate their offering. Extensive upfront market research revealed that prospective residents were willing to pay more for a high-quality, amenity-rich living experience that could deliver a true resort-style ambiance. This insight guided the team's overall design vision. ?????? ???????????? ????????????????????: - Center the site plan around maximizing connectivity to the waterfront - Preserve as much of the existing natural vegetation as possible to maintain the site's character - Balance the aesthetic vision (e.g., light coastal brick) with budget realities ?????????????????? ???????????? ?????????????????????? Zoning requirements mandated that the community either invest in a sustainability certification or generate a percentage of its power through renewable sources. The team opted for a robust solar array, strategically placing the panels to optimize efficiency and appearance. ?????? ???????????? The finished community blends high-end amenities, a resort-inspired vision, and a deep connection to the natural waterfront setting. By understanding the market, prioritizing the resident experience, and navigating the site's unique challenges, the Trinity Landing development team created a senior living experience that stands out in a crowded field. #ByDesign #SFCS #SeniorLiving #relationships #B2B #ByDesign2025 #ThoughtLeadership #Architecture #Trends
