With my first freelance client I went through the sales process, had them sign a quote and I got started working. About 2 weeks in I realized I hadn't been paid any deposit or even communicated with the client on HOW to pay. Long story short I was missing a commonly used template for Payment Terms. I added it to my arsenal, shook off the embarrassment and knew I was better prepared for my next client. Another time I accepted a project not realizing something I thought I could do declaratively most definitely required Apex... I had no experience writing code though. That's when I learned the importance of networking with other professionals who would take on side work from me and had skills that filled my knowledge gaps. Now when I see people focused on other clouds/skills I see synergistic value. These are just 2 examples and I could go on for days. By the end of 10 years consulting I ended up with a template and often multiple templates for each step in my process. From finding clients, to SOWs, Payment Terms, Invoices, Project Plans, Training Decks, Managed Services Agreements, Requirements Docs, Solutioning Docs, Project Start Questionnaires and more!" Me and my new Digital Marketing friends are laying the ground game for a fun side mission ?? We're going to help a small business or non-profit by creating a free digital marketing campaign for them! What are we going to do? ?? Build them a small 3-5 social campaign sequence. Basically posts and images/video content that drives a message to their audience. Each with a CTA to their lead magnet and/or form. ?? 2-3 emails we suggest them sending to their leads that come in from the social campaign to tell them more about the product/service/mission/involvement. ?? Then we hand it off to the company and like Captain Planet ?? with our powers combined we as a community help boost the company on our socials or at the very least engage with their post when they share our campaign! As we polish off the second half of 2024, the #Salesforce job market is undergoing an intriguing shift. After a prolonged period of consulting roles dominating the landscape, we're now seeing a rebalancing between internal customer roles and consulting positions. ?? The October numbers tell an interesting story - 57% of Salesforce roles were internal, while 43% were in consulting. This marks a notable change from 2023, when internal customer roles took a noticeable lead. ?? But that's not the only trend worth noting. When it comes to work models, the remote revolution continues. A staggering 83% of Salesforce were fully remote for October, while only 4% were in-office. Flexible arrangements make up the remaining 13%. This speaks volumes about the long term preferences of both employers and job seekers. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF THIS POST - JOB TITLE TRENDS Looking at job titles, we see a diverse array of opportunities. Job Titles: - Data Steward - Marketing Specialist - Salesforce Administrator - Salesforce Business Analyst - Salesforce Consultant - Salesforce Implementation Specialist - Salesforce Customer Implementation and Success Consultant - Salesforce Program Analyst - Salesforce Solutions Engineer - Salesforce Solutions Specialist - Salesforce Specialist - Technical Support Specialist Industry Trends: We had been seeing a normalization of job titles, but this month came in high with 12 different titles for entry level Salesforce professionals. Earlier this year we were seeing as many as 20 different titles being used for entry level Salesforce roles, we are now seeing closer to 7-10 typically which makes it much easier for job seekers to search for roles confidently. We should note that: ?? 39% of roles included "Administrator" in the Title ?? 17% included the word "Consultant" in the Title ?? 22% included the word "Specialist" in the Title For those seeking out entry level Salesforce roles finishing out 2024 I would advise adding the keyword "Specialist" to your searches.
