SFA Huntsville - Rocket City

Did you know that Huntsville is home to the Alabama School of Cyber Technology and Engineering??This 4-year public high school recruits from every school district in Alabama and embeds cyber and engineering technology into all curriculum. Four students spoke to us about their experiences with the program and it’s amazing what they’re doing. By the time they graduate, students have been in team/club activities for four years, have had courses in calculus and calculus-based physics (ALL students) and are interning with major aerospace companies. We’re a little late in getting this posted, but last week our Chapter supported The University of Alabama in Huntsville Business of Space Conference by moderating a fireside chat. Colonel Michelle Idle, Deputy Commander, Space Systems Command, spent an hour with attendees and Chapter president Damon Feltman talking through SSC’s current Command Plan, needs from the industrial base, and how companies can work with SSC via their Front Door program.
