Sometimes being out there is all that matters. Catching fish is just a bonus to an already great day on the water. When I get to listen to the birds as the mist rolls off the river's surface, and I'm the only one out there, nothing else matters. #riverfishing #smallmouthbass #mightysmallmouth
I've honed my craft for years, always in search of the biggest of the big river smallmouth. These are just a few of the 20+ inch smallies caught last season. Catching and releasing smallmouth bass in river systems is a popular and responsible angling practice. Smallmouth bass are prized for their fighting spirit and acrobatic leaps, making them a thrilling target for anglers. When practicing catch and release, it's important to handle the fish with care to ensure its survival. Keeping the bass as wet as possible by minimizing time out of the water, using single inline hooks, quickly unhooking the fish and gently releasing it back into the water helps to reduce stress. By practicing catch and release, anglers contribute to the conservation of healthy smallmouth bass populations in rivers, ensuring that these exciting fish can be enjoyed by future generations. #catchandrelease #smallmouthbass #riverfishing #conservation #angling
