Sewer Equipment is the corporate home of Sewer Equipment Co. of America, RAMVAC Vacuum Excavators and Mongoose Jetters. With over 75 years of experience, Sewer Equipment manufactures the most innovative, high quality sewer cleaning and excavation equipment for the municipal and contractor markets around the world. Sewer Equipment is a third generation family-owned company that was started in 1941 by H.T. O’Brien in the basement of his Chicago, Illinois home, He designed a small hand operated tool that was built to assist plumbers in cleaning drains. This tool was comprised of a short coiled cable attached to a hand drill. The flexible cable allowed the tool to navigate around turns and bends and better attack the blockage. This innovation gave birth to Sewer Equipment, that has recognized significant growth since its very humble beginnings. Over the years, the O’Brien family has grown the business with on-going commitment to designing and manufacturing innovative, high quality equipment and providing world class customer service. Sewer Equipment's current product offering includes combination sewer cleaners, truck jets, trailer jets, easement machines, vacuum excavators, bucket machines, mechanical rodders and parts/accessories. Sewer Equipment has a long history of introducing innovative products into the market, including the first trailer mounted jetter with a rotating hose reel, the 800-HPR truck jet with its patented all-weather design, the Model 900 ECO combination sewer cleaning with its patented hydro drive system, the first jet-tv system using umbilical cord technology, the first mid-size hydro excavator (Ram-Vac HX-6), and the first easement machine with hydraulic push-out wheels…just to name a few.     Are you looking to save time cleaning catch basins? Kris Norris and the team at NCM Services are showing how quick and easy it is with the 900-ECO from Sewer Equipment. Using "Vac-On-The-Go", all the crew needs to do is put the truck in neutral and set the parking brake. As this truck does not have a transfer case, a time consuming engagement process is not required. You will notice that the blower is running while they are driving the truck. The only controls the operators need to operate is the throttle and boom saving them precious seconds per catch basis. How much time could this save your crews each year?

    Today is National Manufacturing Day. It's a day to celebrate those who keep our US manufacturing businesses going, employing local community members. It's a day to encourage others to take a look at the careers available in manufacturing. Earlier this week we celebrated with AEM "I Make America" on their Manufacturing Express tour. Our most important resources, our people, were able to get outside and celebrate.
