In collaboration with @iMentor, we’re excited to host two upcoming information sessions for anyone interested in joining our mentorship program at Seton College. These sessions will offer a comprehensive overview of our recruitment goals, our diverse student population, and the iMentor platform. Additionally, there will be plenty of time for questions and discussion, giving you the chance to learn more about how you can make a meaningful impact as a mentor. Seton College at UMSV's Associate Dean of Student Success and Engagement, Sharon Ortega, MBA created our #SetonInTheCity Initiative to build a community of learners through engaging NYC experiences. Each month, we offer students the opportunity to explore the city’s rich culture and history, creating connections and personal growth. With all the events, meals, and transportation provided at no cost, our initiative ensures an inclusive and engaging experience, open to a limited number of participants on a first-come, first-serve basis. We are excited to continue to grow #SITC in the coming months and semester. This semester will conclude with a memorable ice skating event, and our goal is to expand our capacity so that more students can take part in these NYC experiences without financial barriers. Each month we’ll highlight a student who exemplifies one of these characteristics in the classroom? This month we’re shining the spotlight on Angelina Manning and celebrating her GOODNESS?? Angelina not only works hard but is always willing to lend a helping hand. She’s known for supporting her classmates whenever they need it, often going out of her way to make others feel valued and encouraged. Her professors say that she brings a positive energy to every class and is a true role model of kindness and dedication. Throwback to our... October Seton Student Spotlight??? “Teach me goodness, and discipline, and knowledge” This is our University of Mount Saint Vincent motto. Each month we’ll highlight a student who exemplifies one of these characteristics in the classroom? This past month we shined the spotlight on Christma Nunez and celebrated her DISCIPLINE?? Christma is off to a fantastic start at Seton College. She’s working hard and it’s paying off. She told us that the key to her success is that she’s highly motivated and focuses on time management. She wants to start off on the right foot on her journey to becoming a?#nurse. This is why she makes sure that she does all of her assignments early and comes to school early. Her professors say that she does great work in the classroom. Awesome job Christma.
