Even if your home has a radon mitigation system, it is essential to test for radon every two years to ensure ongoing safety. Leslie Smith III, Indoor Radon Specialist at EGLE, emphasizes that manometers — the devices used in radon mitigation systems — do not measure radon levels. They only track airflow, not the concentration of radon gas. Smith states, “The only way to know the radon concentrations in a building is to conduct a radon test.” Regular testing is the most reliable way to confirm that radon levels remain within safe limits. If your business stores chemicals in amounts that surpass the 10,000 pounds threshold for general hazardous chemicals or lower for extremely hazardous substances, Tier 2 reporting is usually required. Although they are new to SES, you may recognize some familiar names in the petroleum services industry that recently joined the Wixom, Michigan office. SES welcomes Curt L., Christie Santiago, William Wagner, Ryan Feeny, Jacob Bloom, Kayla Doering, Austin Smithberger, and Amy Minner.
