Let’s talk about your identity as a business owner. https://lnkd.in/eWhwK-Cs #4thstrategicplan
Owner: Step into your post-exit adventure with clarity and purpose ?? I'm a 4th Quarter Coach, experienced COO/CEO, strategic planner, project manager, keynote, author, coffee connoisseur
Business owner thinking about exiting their business suffers from impending loss of identity. Here's a thought: 1) "I'm afraid." 2) "There's the fear." Option 1 - you've attached fear to your identity. You've put fear on like a shirt. But it's not who you are. Yet, you are not everything you could be because you're playing small because the truth is, the fear does not define you. Option 2 - you're viewing fear from a higher perspective. You are transcending the fear with a bigger strategy of your life. You can actually leverage what you're experiencing in the fear to propel your strategy even further. Why this matters to the business owner exiting: Your identity is, period. It's a mix of values, strengths, weaknesses, etc. Your career is an EXPRESSION of your identity. It's what people EXPERIENCE of you. This is freeing because your career can change over time (think vocational alignment) while you remain true to who you are. There is nothing to fear about your identity in the process of planning your exit. "Vocational Alignment", by the way is one of the 6 Hallmarks of a Fantastic Fourth Quarter. If you want to know more about what those Hallmarks mean to your personal strategy, let's talk. DM me. #4thstrategicplan
