When ServiceNet community member Ian Schultz-Baer enrolled as a UMass Inclusive Learning (UIL) student in 2019, he was proud to follow in the footsteps of his parents, both of whom are University of Massachusetts Amherst alums. Ian has since pursued his academic interests through several courses, with a special focus on history; has had internships ranging from sports photography to helping at the UMass library; and enjoys sharing meals in the UMass dining halls with his fellow students. This past week, Ian had the chance to share his story with Massachusetts Secretary of Health & Human Services, Kate Walsh, and a delegation of leaders from the Massachusetts Department of Developmental Services, led by acting Commissioner Sarah Peterson.

We’re excited to announce that Pathlight will be merging with ServiceNet following an agreement by both organizations' boards of directors. As part of this merger, virtually all 500 Pathlight employees will join the ServiceNet community. We expect the process to be completed within the next few months, pending state approvals and other legal steps. Both ServiceNet and Pathlight share a mission of empowering individuals with disabilities to live rich and fulfilling lives, and this merger will further strengthen that commitment. By combining Pathlight's programs for children and youth with disabilities and ServiceNet’s extensive vocational services, we’ll enhance our ability to support all members of our communities. We look forward to this exciting new chapter ahead! (Pictured: Pathlight CEO Keith Kendall with ServiceNet CEO Sue Stubbs) Read more: https://lnkd.in/erVBrQ3h

ServiceNet is thrilled to welcome four therapeutic goats to one of our mental health recovery homes, thanks to a generous donation from The Home Depot Foundation! ?? The Home Depot Foundation provided a brand-new shed and other items, valued at nearly $10,000, and even handled the installation.
