Our team is at the MOSA Institute event at LMI in Tysons today. Hosted by ATI | Advanced Technology International and govmates, this consortium focuses on the Congressional mandate for implementation of the Modular Open Systems Approach to data sharing and interoperability across DoD systems and programs. Given our interoperability platform for base infrastructure, machinery, and maintenance systems data, we're perfectly positioned to champion these principles to support our DoD customers.

VIPC has been such a great partner over the years and we're excited that they are joining us in this next phase of our company's journey. Maybe you're considering the same? If so, Jennifer O'Daniel, Frank V. Taylor, and the team at VIPC would love to share their reasons and enthusiasm for their investment.
“There is an unmistakable opportunity for building operations to be smarter, especially in this post-COVID environment. SRT Labs delivers a connected ecosystem for facility data that maximizes potential savings for labor, energy, and resources while mitigating risk and reducing stress and liabilities." — Jennifer O'Daniel, Senior Investment Director for VIPC’s Virginia Venture Partners Read more about SRT Labs receiving an investment from VVP here: https://bit.ly/3NiZPhn

So excited for Michelle to be featured!
Today, we are featuring Michelle Snider, Ph.D., Senior Data Analyst at SRT Labs and Research Networks Coordinator at the Association for Women in Mathematics: “I love being able to apply mathematical thinking to problems perhaps not thought of as classical mathematical problems...I could not have predicted the path that I’ve been on, and certainly would never say that I had a plan all along. I am happy to do lots of different things, but it matters a lot to me who I spend my time with.” Find the full story at https://lnkd.in/eujrmQSQ. #Industry #AppliedMathematics #DataScience #DataScientist #ResearchScientist #NonTraditionalPathways #Outreach

Yesterday, our team at SRT Labs is in the field at a client site, mapping LoRa signal strength in a complex, concrete-filled environment. This kind of work is crucial for ensuring reliable and efficient LoRa deployments, and it's always fascinating to see how the real-world environment affects signal strength and coverage. As we've learned from experience, ground truthing is essential for getting an accurate picture of what's possible with LoRa. That's why we often refer to resources like Kerlink's white paper on coverage optimization (linked below), which provides a helpful overview of the factors that affect LoRa signal strength and range. In our experience, every deployment is unique, and there are always surprises that can affect the outcome. We've had cases where the terrain or building layout has affected signal strength unexpectedly, and we've had to adjust our approach accordingly. We'd love to hear from others in the field: what field surprises have affected your LoRa deployments, and how did you adapt to them? Share your stories in the comments below! https://lnkd.in/dsY7gR3D Pictured: Radio signal propagation model map showing estimated signal strength as a color gradient

Later this month, SRT Labs will run a signal test designed to demonstrate the feasibility of deploying a campus-wide environmental monitoring system that leverages LoRaWAN technology as a replacement for WiFi or cellular networks to span 150+ acres, paving the way for a lower cost, longer range solution on the campus to monitor environmental conditions and contaminants. #LoRaWAN #EnvironmentalMonitoring #TechInnovation
