Although they were training in a no-photo zone, they captured the moment during a visit to the Atomic Testing Museum to cap off their week!? That’s one reason Dawn Mauger, SERTC - Security and Emergency Response Training Center's Procurement & Administration Manager, says she’s been with us 14 years. Dawn and her front office team are essential to the success of SERTC courses and ensure a positive experience for trainees - from managing financials and grants, to helping students enroll, to travel and logistics tips and so much more! And when Dawn moved across the country, MxV Rail and SERTC team members fully supported the transition and continued cheering in the stands for Dawn’s family of athletes in Pueblo. “They really do show the family side of MxV Rail. This week we had the amazing opportunity to take part in an Instructor Development Workshop from the Louisiana State University’s National Center for Biomedical Research and Training (NCBRT). ?? Employee Spotlight: Meet Shawn Reedy! ?? As a Senior Instructor at SERTC, Shawn Reedy plays a pivotal role in preparing our nation's first responders for any hazmat challenge they may face. But his commitment to safety and readiness extends beyond his work at SERTC. As an adult leader with the Boy Scouts of America, Shawn embraces the motto “Be Prepared” in both his professional life and family life. Shawn joined SERTC in 2017 after 24 years in the railroad industry. While his career has spanned over two decades, Shawn’s true passion lies with his family. In June, he and his wife, Missy, celebrated 25 years of marriage. Missy, who shares a deep connection to the railroad industry, has been a steadfast partner in both his personal and professional journey. Together, they have three sons, aged 19, 14, and 8. Scouting is more than a hobby—it’s a way of life for the Reedy family. Both Shawn and Missy are deeply involved in the scouting community, supporting their children's journeys and guiding others along the way. Their eldest son is an accomplished Eagle Scout, the middle son is working toward his Eagle Scout rank, and their youngest is in his third year of Cub Scouts. Shawn is an adult leader, merit badge counselor, and will soon serve as the Advancement Chairman. "Scouting has played a critical role in shaping our kids’ lives," Shawn shares. "It’s helped build their character, develop essential skills, and prepare them to be leaders in their communities." ??
