We're thrilled to share how SERJobs’ partnership with JLL and Signature Green has transformed our new Workforce Resources and Training Center! Thanks to their incredible support, we’ve been able to create a functional, branded space that perfectly aligns with our mission to serve the community.
When SERJobs needed to furnish their new Workforce Resources and Training Center on a tight budget, Signature Green and JLL stepped in to make it happen. While funding was secured for construction, there was little left for free-standing furniture. Brian Alling from JLL suggested Signature Green, known for their sustainable approach and expertise in repurposing furniture. The result? A collaborative effort where most of the furniture was donated from local inventories, with SERJobs covering only a few custom pieces. Signature Green’s team understood SERJobs’ mission to transform lives through education and training. They curated a selection of repurposed furniture that not only met the nonprofit’s needs but also enhanced the space’s functionality and branding. The flexibility of the new furniture has allowed SERJobs to double their training programs, proving that thoughtful design and sustainability can go hand in hand. This partnership highlights the power of collaboration and the value of the circular economy. By choosing pre-owned furniture, SERJobs prevented tons of materials from ending up in landfills, while creating a space that reflects their commitment to community and sustainability.
