Starting 2025, we are happy to share an update with you. Our innovation project, Serai Care, supported by Innosuisse – the Swiss Innovation Agency, was selected through a competitive evaluation process to receive grant funding. The project focuses on developing AI-driven solutions to enhance the safety and independence of elderly individuals. With a total project budget of CHF 1.1 million, Serai Care is a significant step forward in creating smart and reliable technologies to address critical needs in senior care while maintaining privacy and dignity. We are grateful to University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW for their valuable partnership and to the entire Serai team for their dedication and hard work. We thank everyone who has been a part of Serai’s journey in 2024. Onto big news! Innosuisse Innovation Council is funding our research efforts to improve the quality of life for older adults in need. Our research, “Fall Detection at Home for Frail Older Adults Living Alone” aims to enhance the safety and independence of older adults using advanced smart home technology and AI-driven fall detection. Beginning of 2024, we decided to exclusively focus on research and development of cutting edge technology with our research partners Prof. Dr. Arzu ??ltekin and Prof. Dr. Anton Fedosov from the Institute of Interactive Technologies at University of Applied Sciences and Arts Northwestern Switzerland FHNW. In August 2020, we set out to transform living spaces with intelligence and innovation. Today, we're honing in on that original vision by focusing exclusively on enhancing the quality of life for the elderly. We are committed to maintaining the independence and safety of those who require assistance in their own homes and other living environments. As of March 2024, our team is dedicated solely to technology research and software development operating entirely from Switzerland, pushing the boundaries of what's possible with AI and ML.
