This is a great story and a terrific place to discover. Designed at human scale and creating an entirely new urban neighborhood from the ground up, Slabtown exemplifies successful dense development—not to mention how resilient a 24/7, mixed use area like this can be! Slabtown's sidewalks are busy, its cafes are full, and the lease rates at its apartments are incredible—how's that for a downtown recovery story! We've had a long, close relationship with Blanchet House & Farm, and this year we got to design an expanded dorm and other upgrades out at Blanchet Farm. Go Ducks! ???? It's the first day of classes and we can't wait to see the heart of campus bustling again! Did you know that SERA designed the 2016 expansion and renovation of the University of Oregon Erb Memorial Union? Complete with natural materials and a lot of daylight, the EMU has flexible workspaces, ballrooms, dining, a makerspace, and student-centered areas like the Multicultural Center, Women's Center, Bike Program, and Student Sustainability Center. We also love sustainability, which is why this project with Lease Crutcher Lewis is certified LEED Platinum. ?? #GoDucks #UOregon #Design

Happy first day of classes, Beavers! ????? SERA loves designing beautiful spaces that people use every single day like the Residence & Dining Hall for the Oregon State University Cascades Campus! The beauty of the natural environment inspires us every day, and in Central Oregon, inspiration is everywhere. We looked to the stark beauty of the high desert to craft informal open spaces and an aesthetic with clean lines and materials that are native to the region. The exterior's natural stained cedar reflects the warmth and wooded setting of Bend.

Here's some unexpected and very cool news... our friends at FINE just let us know that at this year's Web Marketing Association WebAwards, the Best Architecture Website was... us! Amazing! When FINE started crafting this site for us, we told them we wanted something different, that would prioritize imagery and storytelling and not look like every other site in our industry. They came through in a big way! They also, just so you know, were named Best in Show agency, so they're clearly at the top of their game. Thank you, FINE!
