We love historic buildings. There's something special about preserving a specific moment in time through architecture, found in decorative woodwork, ornate ceilings, and an emphasis on artistry. Many of these beautiful details can be found in one of our favorite projects: the historic Pioneer Courthouse. At more than 130 years old, this is a cornerstone building for downtown Portland, OR as the oldest surviving federal structure in the Pacific Northwest and the second oldest courthouse west of the Mississippi. #historic #architecture #art #interiordesign #woodwork #design

Last weekend The Judy was abuzz with activity as it played host to some of the #PDXBookFest events in downtown Portland! Literary Arts puts on this annual event and this year many YA, middle grade, and youth workshops and panels were hosted at the Judy (home of the Northwest Children's Theater.) It's a SERA project we love, and we love seeing it be used for other fun arts & culture events in our community! #pdx #books #theater

It's Election Day, and across the country people are fulfilling their civic duty to VOTE! ??????? Did you know Oregon & California (where our offices are located) are both vote-by-mail states? Oregon made it permanent in 1987, and while California collected absentee ballots since 1962, they made the universal distribution of vote-by-mail ballots permanent in 2021 — though you can still vote in person on Election Day in California if you so choose! And with that, VOTE!

#LifeatSERA means making space for people to lean into their passions. Some of our staff decided to run with their love of wine & spirits this fall and host tasting nights for those who wanted to learn more after work! These were not SERA sponsored events, but still a fun way for our staff to connect and learn something new from each other in the evenings. Cheers! ????
