Last week we had an incredible workshop led by our Leadership Council members, Craig Huie, CFA, CAIA and Cherry Than, focused on banking, investing, and building wealth! The session was not only beneficial for our seniors getting ready for college but also provided valuable insights for adults looking to enhance their financial literacy. Congratulations to our 19 incredible SEO Scholars who have been admitted into the National Education Equity Lab (NEEL) Honor Society Scholar Program! These outstanding students showcased their hardwork and dedication by scoring in the top 5% of all enrolled across the country in their Fall 2024 courses of Introduction to Microeconomics, Essentials of Personal Finance, and Climate Change and You, The Engineer. A huge thank you to National Education Equity Lab for hosting this program and connecting us with prestigious institutions like the The Wharton School, Cornell University, and Barnard College NEEL is dedicated to advancing educational equity and ensuring that every student has access to high-quality learning opportunities. Last week, we had the pleasure of welcoming 120 future leaders to the Class of 2028 at our SEO Scholars Orientation! Half of the incoming class will attend their weekend programming in San Francisco at UC Law, while the other half will represent the East Bay, engaging in their weekend programming at Berkeley City College. It was a fantastic morning filled with informative sessions for both families and Scholars, with opportunities for our new Scholars and their parents to meet the amazing SEO Scholars team. What a fabulous launch for the next 8 years of academic and personal excellence. Together, we’re embarking on a journey of growth, learning, and opportunity.
