Before Hurricane Helene, this was a beautiful horse pasture—the retirement dream of a Vietnam veteran and his wife. But when the hurricane struck, it devastated their land, destroyed their home and barn, swept away their horses, and left behind nothing but ruins. Thanks to the dedication of our crisis response team on the ground and the generous support of the Grandfather Mountain Foundation, Tarheel Water Treatment, and the Rotary Club, we’ve been able to clear their property so they can begin rebuilding their home and their future. The Rotary Club has also provided financial support to help us restore access to this property and six other homes impacted by the flood by running gravel back to the area. Every day, our team works tirelessly to bring hope and relief to those affected by disasters like Hurricane Helene. This was no accident — it was the result of strategic planning, relentless execution, and unwavering dedication. This mission wouldn’t have been possible without the collaboration of The Tim Tebow Foundation, myLIFEspeaks, Mustard Seed, Adam LaRoche, E3 Foundation, the Anti-Human Trafficking Bureau from the DR, Kevin Guthrie with the FL Division of Emergency Management, Cory Mills, Mission of Hope, HaitiOne, the caregivers from Haiti Children, our amazing volunteers, and the dedicated nurses and doctors involved.
